What we collect
When you use DevDirect, we collect what you send us to build and update your site: your business details (name, contact info, hours, logo), any photos or text you send over WhatsApp, and your WhatsApp phone number. If you use the client dashboard, we also store a password (see below) and basic usage information (how many changes you've made this month).
How we use it
Solely to build, host, and update your website as instructed. Your business content is used to create and edit your site; your phone number is used to identify your account and send you preview links and confirmations. We don't use your information for anything beyond running the service you signed up for.
Who else sees it
A few third-party services are part of how DevDirect works, and your content passes through them: WhatsApp/Twilio (to send and receive your messages), Anthropic's Claude (to interpret your instructions and make the actual edits), and GitHub and Vercel (to host your website's code and the live site itself). We don't sell your information to anyone, and we don't share it beyond what's needed to run the service.
Passwords and account security
If you use the client dashboard, your password is stored using a salted, industry-standard hashing method (PBKDF2). We never store or can see your actual password. Login sessions use a signed token that expires automatically.
How long we keep things
Your business content stays live as part of your website for as long as you're a client. Operational logs (message and job history used for troubleshooting) are only kept briefly, not indefinitely.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated data, at any time. Just message us over WhatsApp.
Questions
Message the same WhatsApp number used for everything else, or see the Contact page.
